Open Source Conference 2026 Fukuoka

Overview

The Fukuoka stop of Open Source Conference, set for 12 December 2026 on the 7th floor of Fukuoka University's Building A, where Kyushu's open source communities and companies gather for exhibits and seminars. The previous edition at Kyushu Sangyo University ran 25 sessions across four tracks with 29 booths and featured exhibits such as a robot arm from a municipal DX consortium. The venue rotates among universities in the city.

Started in Tokyo in 2004 and produced by Begi.net Inc.

The Kyushu edition of the open source festival that began in Tokyo in 2004. Held in Fukuoka on a roughly annual cadence since around 2011, moving between Fukuoka University, Fukuoka SRP Center and Kyushu Sangyo University. The nationwide format of free admission with exhibits and seminars in one day is unchanged; what distinguishes Fukuoka is how local universities host the venue.
