Overview

Japan's largest conference dedicated to the Python programming language. Python developers from Japan and abroad gather to share knowledge across web development, data science, machine learning, and automation. Since its first edition in 2011, the event has drawn around 1,000 attendees annually, growing into one of the leading PyCon events in the Asia-Pacific region. The conference spans two days plus a sprint (development hackathon) day.

First held in January 2011 as 'PyCon mini JP' in Shinagawa Seaside, Tokyo. The full-scale PyCon JP 2011 followed in August of the same year. The PyCon JP Association was incorporated in 2013 to establish an operational foundation, renamed to PyCon JP Association in 2020. By 2018, attendance reached approximately 1,000, making it one of the world's largest PyCon events.

Japan's largest conference dedicated to the Python programming language. Python developers from Japan and abroad gather to share knowledge across web development, data science, machine learning, and automation. Since its first edition in 2011, the event has drawn around 1,000 attendees annually. After two years in Hiroshima, the 2027 edition moves to Plaza Verde in Numazu, Shizuoka. Tickets and the call for proposals are both coming soon.

CAPCOM Open Conference RE:2026 Osaka

Capcom's technical conference opening up the internals and production know-how of its in-house RE ENGINE. Returning after three years, it expands to two cities, Tokyo and Osaka. Both days, October 17-18, run the student track. Sessions reach into rendering and AI-driven QA automation on shipping titles. Free to attend, with a lottery if applications exceed capacity.
