Regional Scrum Gathering Tokyo 2027

Overview

Japan's largest Scrum and Agile conference, held every January since 2011. The 2027 edition returns to Bellesalle Haneda Airport in hybrid format. Beyond 90+ sessions including international keynotes, its "gathering" culture emphasizing attendee dialogue sets it apart, and tickets sell out early every year. A fixed point where product development leaders and practitioners convene at the start of the year.

Yasunobu Kawaguchi and Scrum community volunteers (Scrum Gathering Tokyo Executive Committee)

Launched by Yasunobu Kawaguchi and community volunteers following "Innovation Sprint 2011," where Ikujiro Nonaka and Scrum co-creator Jeff Sutherland first met in January 2011. Held annually as a Scrum Alliance-endorsed Regional Gathering, with the executive committee incorporated in 2016. It remains the center of gravity for Japan's Agile community.

Transition

2. 2016 The executive committee was incorporated as a general incorporated association
3. 2026 Held at Bellesalle Haneda Airport with 800 seats and over 90 speakers, with keynotes by Bjarte Bogsnes and Dave Snowden
